TRIED, TRUE, AND TESTED WITH 10+ YEARS OF RESEARCH

Our Clinical Study

We’ve worked with scientists and optometrists to ensure that our science backs what we stand. Vizion Edge is clinically proven to improve your eye health and withstands rigorous testing.

THE IMPORTANCE OF MESO-ZEAXANTHIN

Our Triple Carotenoid Formula

There are two words that you’ll probably find on any vision supplement: Lutein and Zeaxanthin. These two carotenoids improve your eye health by thickening the macular pigment, the protective layer in the eye, responsible for blocking out harmful blue light and free radicals.

However, there’s the third and critical carotenoid that almost every vision supplement is missing: Meso-Zeaxanthin. It’s the most potent of the three, and our Triple Carotenoid Formula is clinically proven to significantly improve your eye health.

STUDY DESIGN

About our study design

Our clinical study was designed to investigate the impact of the third carotenoid, Meso-Zeaxanthin, on visual function in individuals free of retinal disease. Here was our study design:

Replenish your eyesight

IMPROVEMENTS OVER 12 MONTHS

Here were the results

100% of the participants who took the Triple Carotenoid Formula experienced statistically significant growth in their Macular Pigment Volume and Contrast Sensitivity (CS) levels.

HERE’S THE REAL KICKER

Adding the missing carotenoid

While traditional vision supplements only carry a combination of the carotenoids Lutein and Zeaxanthin, Vizion Edge also contains the third, critical carotenoid Meso-Zeaxanthin. Studies show that supplementing with all three carotenoids provides far superior results in comparison to Lutein and Zeaxanthin alone.

Our Research Articles

6 months of supplementation with the macular carotenoids Lutein, Zeaxanthin and Meso-Zeaxanthin (Vizion Edge) led to significant improvements in each of the visual measures, a significant improvement in sleep quality, and a significant reduction in the frequency of headaches, eye strain, and eye fatigue (associated with the high use of devices/screens). Stringham JM, Stringham NT, O’Brien KJ. Macular Carotenoid Supplementation Improves Visual Performance, Sleep Quality, and Adverse Physical Symptoms in Those with High Screen Time Exposure. Supplementation with a formulation containing the three macular carotenoids Lutein, Zeaxanthin, and Meso-Zeaxanthin (Vizion Edge), results in enhanced Contrast Sensitivity [the ability to see fine detail and discern foreground from background] and alleviates the impact of chromatic aberration, light scatter and glare disability [reduced visual performance under glare conditions]. Further, the biochemical properties of L, Z and MZ are important for optimal physiological functionality of the visual system and appear to be important in the maintenance of this system into old age.

Supplementation with the macular carotenoids Lutein, Zeaxanthin, and Meso-Zeaxanthin (Vizion Edge) led to statistically significant improvements in Contrast Sensitivity.  These results indicate that dietary supplementation and fortification of the three macular carotenoids can have meaningful effects on visual function and performance.
